- They get deals from builders and in turn offer customers to them. These platforms offer 20-90% discounts on lifetime deals and the pricing is often nothing short of crazy.
- AppSumo is the biggest LTD platform in the market and offers two plans: Marketplace and Select. On the Marketplace plan, they take a 30-50% commission and on the Select plan they take a 70% commission.
- Users purchase codes on these platforms and redeem these codes on the product page via a “Redeem AppSumo Code” or similar kind of button. Users can stack multiple codes on top of each other to upgrade to higher plans. For eg. Plan 1 = 1 code, Plan 2 = 2 codes and so on
- Users also get a 30/60 day refund window depending on the platform which means a very delayed payout for the builder
